My Thoughts:
!00% cute. To my surprise….this was an entertaining book! Not kidding here. I´m not a huge fan of YA novels or series…but this one is quite good. It lacks of all the stuff I usually crave for while reading a book, but i knew this was just a young adult story, so I just accepted the fact that I wouldn´t get to read about passionate nutcases ( Jesse, Christian, Ethan, David, Tony, etc. ) Shiver didn´t drive me crazy, but it was a good read. This book can be compared to the Twilight Saga. It´s not a 1:1 copy like other readers may think. Some scenes are just like scenes from Twilight, but that was about it. It´s just a simple, sad, and totally cute lovestory between a human and a wolf.
The characters weren´t THAT original, but I liked them because they weren´t pushy or constantly bitchy or on a war path with their emotions. Of course there was some conflicts in this book….but nothing major.
I can see why this book would grab alot of young fangirlies attention. It´s heartbraking and and loving and completely sad. It´s unforgiving and mysterious. A forbidden love between a human girl and a wolf. How exciting..:-) Despite what others may think about this book: I thought the writing style was OKAY and story was OKAY too. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. But I can also see why fans of NA, Mature Adult 18+ lovers wouldn´t find this book good at all.
This book is the first in a whole series. I haven´t read any other books by this author before, but I just might dive into the next book in this series soon..:-)
